“Each good morning we are born again, what we do today is what matters most” Buddha
Starting your morning off in a positive way will help you be more productive throughout the rest of the day.
Here are 7 ways that you can spend your mornings:
A juicer is one of the best investments you can make.
I like to mix it up.
Some days I make a smoothie with berries and fruit or spinach and kale.
Other days I’ll juice.
If I’m in a hurry, I mix a spoon of greens powder into a glass of water or orange juice.
Either way, it’s a fantastic energy boost.
Affirmations might seem a bit ‘woo-woo’ to some people but for me, it works.
You can make up your own or search online for some affirmations for specific things like success or self esteem.
Here’s a few to try:
I am successful.
I believe in myself.
I make healthy choices every day.
I am in control of my life.
You can write your affirmations on index cards or use a flash card app on your phone so you can read over them every day.
Getting your heart rate up in the morning is a great way to start off your day.
You can choose to go to the gym or go for a brisk walk or jog.
Finding even ten minutes in the morning to do a few sets of push ups or sit ups will help you stay energized throughout the day.
Writing in a journal has so many benefits.
You can plan out your day, write down your goals and check in on your progress or write down what you’re grateful for every day.
You can record how you’re feeling or how you’re doing with your goals.
You can track things like your weight, your calorie intake, the amount of words you write every day etc.
Most people say that they don’t have time to read but if you can find ten or fifteen minutes every morning to read, you’d be surprised how quickly you can finish a book.
Reading something educational or motivating can inspire you throughout the day.
I like to read books about something I want to learn or about business tactics.
Meditating can be an intimidating if you’ve never tried it before but even ten minutes every morning can make a big difference to your stress levels.
There’s some great apps like HeadSpace and guided meditations on Youtube that can help you out.
Do Something You Love
This is something I’ve added to my morning ritual in the last few months: something I love.
This can be absolutely anything.
For me, it could a YouTube video (usually something that makes my laugh), reading fiction (something I often don’t fit in to my day), browse your favorite blog, editing photos etc.
Whatever you choose to do, the idea is to start your day feeling good.
Incorporating even one of these ideas into your morning can change the way you start your day.
If you don’t already have a morning ritual, I can’t recommend it enough.
Some of the most successful people in the world have a morning routine that they use to get ahead and make time for themselves before they even leave the house.
